General Information:

MikroTik Certified Routing Engineer (MTCRE) is the next step after MTCNA and focuses on advanced routing concepts. The course is designed for those who want to deepen their knowledge of network routing using MikroTik RouterOS and build the skills needed to design, configure, and manage complex routed networks.

  • Date and time: December 8th – 9th 2025 – 9:00 to 17:00
  • Location: Clayton Hotel Dublin Airport – Stockhole Lane, Clonshagh, Swords, Co. Dublin, K67 X3H5
  • Carparking: Complimentary for guests attending a meeting/event at the hotel rate reduced from €7.00 per day. Overnight is subject to charge.
  • Cost: €675 + VAT (with MTCINE certification the discount offer would be €1350 + VAT)
  • Group limited to 12 people.
  • Prerequisites : MTCNA certification is required. Also solid understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, and basic RouterOS configuration is recommended. (see below)

Course Description:

The course provides the necessary knowledge for the configuration, management, and troubleshooting of advanced routed networks using MikroTik RouterOS. It contains various laboratory exercises designed to strengthen the understanding of theoretical routing concepts and enhance practical operational skills. The course follows the official MikroTik program and consists of the following modules:

Requirements & tools:

  • Possession of MTCNA certification (does not need to be in date)
  • Good practice with IP Addressing / subnetting
  • Basic Networking and routing concepts
  • Laptop with Windows (or any system that can run winbox)
  • 3 Cat5 Ethernet cables of at least 5ft
  • Power strip

Online test:

  • The certification exam will be held online in English on the MikroTik website
  • The results will be immediately available
  • MTCRE examination includes both questions about Mikrotik and TCP/IP as well
  • The use of online translators will be allowed
  • The minimum score required to pass is 60% if you get a score of 50% to 60 % you will be granted of a second chance.
  • The MTCRE certificate will be immediately available in your MikroTik account
